Are light engines included in the price?+
Yes. Every new StarLight panel order includes the appropriately sized standard light engine system, required power supplies and standard app/remote controls at the published price, and every residential installed package includes the appropriately sized standard light engine system. Engines are matched to the total star count: a Single-board RGBW engine runs up to 500 stars and a Multi-port RGBW engine up to 1,000, so several panels can share one engine.
How much do star ceiling panels cost?+
Standard rectangular panels cost $599 for 4×4 ft, $899 for 4×6 ft, $1,199 for 4×8 ft and $1,499 for 4×10 ft. Curved and round panels are priced by size-equivalent category, starting at $799, $1,199, $1,499 and $1,899 for the same four sizes. Panel prices do not include freight, applicable taxes or onsite installation.
Are pre-made panels easier to install?+
Panels are made for DIY or contractor installation. They arrive pre-threaded, with fiber routing organized and connections labeled by panel, and every order comes with installation instructions, video guidance and phone/video support. With a custom built-in ceiling, StarLight handles the installation instead.
What is the difference between a panel and a full custom ceiling?+
A panel is a framed star field fabricated in our shop and shipped ready to mount; a room can use one panel or several, often with a perimeter reveal of about one foot for a framed look. A custom built-in ceiling is designed around the geometry of your room, anchored to structural framing and finished as a virtually seamless, continuous star field. Panels are priced per panel; built-in ceilings have installed starting prices by ceiling size.
Does the ceiling need to be lowered?+
Plan for the depth of the star ceiling's own construction. StarLight's standard home-theater packages use a 3-inch acoustic-board profile; other rooms use the acoustic profile suited to the build, and final depth is confirmed with your design. Shipped panels are mounted with concealed cleats, hook-and-chain suspension or specialty hardware selected for your framing and ceiling type; suspended mounting is used where a drop or adjustment is needed.
Can I order nationwide?+
Yes. Panels ship nationwide from Ogden, Utah. Shipping is separate from panel prices. Every shipment we arrange is insured for covered transit loss or damage. Your complete shipping total is itemized and approved before your deposit is collected, then paid with your remaining balance before dispatch. Custom built-in installation is available nationwide for approved projects, with travel and location costs itemized in your quote.
How does the workmanship warranty apply?+
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. StarLight Ceilings provides three years of coverage for qualifying defects caused by our fabrication and installation workmanship. Light engines, controllers and other independently manufactured electronics are covered by their applicable manufacturer warranties.
